Whitfield Ointment
DESCRIPTION
Whitfield Ointment is highly effective in the treatment of tinea, of the chronic
dry-scaling variety.
The ingredient Benzoic Acid has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is
applied topically for
fungal skin infections such as ringworm and
INGREDIENT
Whitfield Ointment contains 6% w/w
benzoic acid and 3% w/w salicylic acid.
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of tinea, ringworm and athlete's foot.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Clean and dry the affected area, apply the ointment to affected area by
gentle massage once
or twice daily or as directed by the physician.
CAUTIONS
The Ointment should not be applied to broken or inflamed skin. Its use should
be
discontinued if excessive dryness or irritation of the skin occurs.
