DESCRIPTION

    Megadin Tablet contains cimetidine which is known as a histamine 2 (H2) receptor antagonist. It heals benign gastric and

 duodenal ulcer by reducing gastric acid output. It is also indicated in conditions where gastric reduction is beneficial. e.g.

gastritis and dyspepsia due to hypersecretion of gastric acid.

INDICATIONS AND DOSAGE

Adult:

Active benign gastric and duodenal ulceration: one tablet twice daily or two tablets at night for at least 4 weeks.

For maintenance: one or two tablets at bedtime as long as the physician deems necessary to prevent a relapse.

Dyspepsia: one tablet twice daily.

For use in children under 12 years old: consult the physician.

CAUTIONS

Not recommended for use in pregnancy or lactation, patients with hepatic or renal impairment should consult physician.
