Codeine Phosphate Tablet and Syrup

DESCRIPTION

     Codeine Phosphate is widely used as an anti-tussive for symptomatic relief of non-productive cough and it is available as a

single ingredient in two dosage forms: Tablet and Syrup forms.

    Two strengths are available for Codeine Phosphate Tablet: 15mg (of Codeine Phosphate) (pale yellowish-green, round

tablet) and 30mg  (white, round tablet)

    The strength of Codeine Phosphate Syrup is: 25mg (of Codeine Phosphate) per 5ml

    To be taken as directed by physician

CAUTIONS

    May cause drowsiness after use. If affected do not drive or operate machinery   

    Tolerance (Reduced potency of drug) and physical dependence may occur following prolonged administration

  Codeine Phosphate tablet 15mg and 30mg: 1000 tablets per bottle

  Codeine Phosphate Syrup 25mg/ 5ml: 3.6L per bottle
